Best way to rate

Rate the course as you found it on the day — not how you played. Skip bunkers; we only ask about Tees, Fairways, and Greens so every golfer can contribute fairly.

Be consistent: if conditions are average, choose Good. Reserve Poor and Excellent for days that clearly deserve them. Your ratings help fellow golfers and give clubs real feedback.

How the score is built

Each element is scored from Poor to Excellent. Points are weighted so Greens matter most, then Fairways, then Tees. All Excellent totals 1000 — the mark of elite course conditions.

  • Tees — up to 125 points
  • Fairways — up to 375 points
  • Greens — up to 500 points

Your Accuracy Meter

RateMyRound compares your ratings with other members on the same courses. The Accuracy Meter reflects how closely your scoring aligns with the community average — looking for a fair, consistent standard rather than always-high or always-low scores.

Members who consistently rate at the extremes may receive guideline emails. If accuracy remains consistently incorrect, or the system is abused, we reserve the right to disregard those ratings and, where necessary, restrict or block the account so the platform stays trustworthy for golfers and clubs.
